Saira*Shakira is the Lahore-based couture house of designers Saira Faisal and Shakira Usman, both distinction graduates of the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design. The label was built on eastern haute couture sophisticated cuts, experimental silhouettes, and a modern classicism rooted in indigenous craft and technique.
A regular at the Pakistan Fashion Design Council's bi-annual fashion weeks, Saira*Shakira was one of seven designers selected by Swarovski for its 2015 showcase with the PFDC, with work later exhibited at the Sparkling Couture exhibition in Dubai. FAQs
1) What should I wear for mehndi, barat and walima?
Mehndi suits colour and movement shararas, ghararas and lighter lehengas. Barat calls for the most formal look, usually a bridal lehenga or pishwas in red, maroon or jewel tones. Walima leans softer, with pastels, ivory and gowns. Browse all three in Bridals.
2) What is the difference between a lehenga, pishwas and sharara?
A lehenga is a full flared skirt worn with a choli and dupatta. A pishwas is a long frock-style silhouette with volume through the hem, rooted in Mughal dressing. A sharara is a wide flared trouser, split from the knee, worn with a shorter shirt.
3) How far in advance should I order a bridal dress?
Most bridal pieces are made to order, so start 3 to 4 months before your event. Production commonly takes 6–14 weeks depending on design and handwork, and wedding season books out early.
4) Can I customize the size or colour?

5) Do you have a store in Pakistan?
